Hello and Welcome!
My name is Brittany Martinez and I am excited to be a School Counselor here at Magdalena Municipal Schools. I started as a school counselor in November of 2018 at Magdalena. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Mexico in 2012. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Wayland Baptist University in 2015. I live in Magdalena with my husband and our three children. I enjoy reading, being outdoors, staying active, baking, watching tv/ movies, and spending time with my family.
School Counselors are here to support the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of all students and staff. School counselors provide support through individual counseling, pair or group counseling, and classroom counseling lessons. I am available to support all students at MMS PreK through 12th grade however, my focus is to support grades PreK through 8th.
Please contact me by phone or email with any questions, concerns, or support. I look forward to a successful year and working with students, staff, and families. My contact information is by phone at 575-854-8042 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to hearing from you. Let’s have another great year!
The Magdalena Municipal Schools Behavioral Health team is conducting a student survey to help guide the counselors and social workers as to what the student need will be at the start of the school year. This survey is completely voluntary and confidential. We would greatly appreciate you taking the time to fill out this survey. Here is the link to the survey: https://forms.gle/jyKZCfyUYB2Ps9Wx5
